In addition to receiving instructions via Solicitors certain Barristers, who have undertaken the appropriate training, are now able to accept direct access instructions from individuals and commercial organistations.
The direct access scheme (Public Access) is operated under the guidence of The General Council of the Bar, and full details can found by clicking The Public Access Scheme.
Appropriate areas of law for direct access include:-
- Cohabitant disputes
- Inheritance disputes
- Matrimonial finance
Please contact Leigh Royall our Senior Clerk to discuss the suitablity of your matter for direct access and the availability of an appropriate direct access Barrister.
If it appears that it is appropriate for a Barrister to assist you, we will arrange for a preliminary telephone discussion with one of our Barristers. This discussion will not place any commitment upon you to continue with instructing via direct access nor will it attract a fee.
