Employment Personal Injury Contract Property
William joined Chambers after practicing for 10 years in Cambridge
Employment He has a particular interest in employment law, and he has extensive experience in acting for both Claimants and Respondents in Employment Tribunals and the E.A.T. His practice covers the full range of contentious employment work, although he has a particular interest in discrimination.
Personal Injury A large proportion of his practice is in the field of Personal Injury, and he has acted in a wide variety of cases including claims concerning road traffic accidents, employers liability (including stress at work), and injuries sustained by serving prisoners.
Contract Property The remainder of his work consists of general civil litigation, with an emphasis on contractual disputes and residential landlord & tenant work. He frequently represents both landlords and tenants in possession actions, particularly those arising out of anti-social behaviour and nuisance.
Seminars He has presented a number of seminars to solicitors, which have included such topics as the changes wrought by the implementation of the statutory disciplinary, dismissal and grievance procedures, and the ramifications of the 2006 TUPE Regulations. Recent Seminars include the new CPR Rules in relation to Part 36 - a general update, Employment Law and also Housing Law - Re: unlawful evictions and repossession.
