Since joining 37 Park Square after having a successful practice in London, John has quickly re-established himself on the North Eastern Circuit.

Criminal law
While his practice covers the broad spectrum of criminal matters, acting for both Prosecution and Defence, he has particular experience in Fraud, Money Laundering, Drug Importation and Indecency. John has also developed expertise in Trading Standard and Environmental Law and is able to offer expert legal advice on all aspects in these areas.

Education law
John has a developing interest in Education Law having been a past Chair of Governors of a large Primary School and is presently an LEA appointed Governor and Chair of Governors of a state secondary school. He is a member of the East Riding Education Appeal Panel, and chairs the Appeal Panel of the University of York.
