AREAS OF PRACTICE

Family Law.

Emma practices mainly in public and private childcare law. She frequently undertakes care/adoption proceedings and all areas of private childcare law including applications for residence, contact, prohibited steps, specific issues, change of name, leave to remove from the jurisdiction and finding of fact hearings.

She also has experience in dealing with domestic violence cases including injunctions, occupation orders and committal proceedings.

Emma regularly acts on behalf of local authorities, parents, extended family members and children’s guardians and has appeared in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court.

Emma has co-organised and presented a number of family seminars covering areas such as 'Finding of Fact Hearings' and 'Giving Evidence in Court'.
